Greetings fellow Odyssey-ers. Never let it be said that the times we are now right in the midst of – times long predicted by ancient and more modern seers and visionaries; times of great change and challenge, and also of great opportunity and renewal – were not written of. I recently went through a couple decades or more of Odyssey back copies – what an enlightening experience. Long story short: no-body out there has the least idea of what exactly is happening (except that it's very different to anything humans have in their conscious memories), let alone what's going to happen next. This is true from the world of finance and macro-economics through to the micro details of our personal lives. Everything is in flux as we head into the time when the Mayans (and others) said that a great age would end – and a new one would begin. Challenging as things are, they are what's needed to fix our broken (by humans) world. So rather than fear and anxiety, one needs to work on greeting each new day as another opportunity to help make the changes sweeping the world smoother, kinder, better for all. That's a big ask, but then it's time for some big stuff. It's exciting in the same way as extreme sports like base-jumping are exciting: thrilling and terrifying at the same time. Humans collectively are being asked to overcome their small-mindedness, to think big, and play to their highest potential. So let's just do it.
Meanwhile, things go on – like expos and stuff. We're going to be at a couple upcoming soon. We want to see you all there. So come on down to the Look Good & Feel Good Expo at the CTICC in Cape Town, 16-18 September, and the Coca-Cola Dome in Jozi, 7-9 October. Bring your friends and family – it'll be great, and we talk some more about surviving the 'end of days'.
