There is something radically wrong with a society when young men and women see themselves as 'shit' and either take their own lives or the lives of others. The sad reality that the act of suicide or the act of mass murder can become the final way of 'being seen' or in the words of one young man who gunned down several people, 'now I'll be famous.'
